Many people think they do not have enough expertise to become a Special Olympics coach; however, all it takes is a willingness to learn a few, simple rules of the sport and then plenty of enthusiasm and encouragement for the athletes. Coaching is an extremely rewarding experience and something that just might change your life! If you don't think you have enough time to commit to becoming a coach, then please consider becoming a Volunteer. Any time you can give to these wonderful athletes is well spent and very much appreciated! General orientation sessions, as well as sport-specific training seminars, are held year round and all over the state. If you are interested in attending one of these sessions or seminars, please contact the Lee County Special Olympics Director.

If you are interested in volunteering or becoming a certified coach, please visit the Forms section of this website for applications and more information.
